18 Oct SCG CHEMICALS X BRÜCKNER: SUSTAINABLE HIGH PERFORMANCE BOPE FILM FROM SMX™ TECHNOLOGY
SCG Chemicals develops mono-material solutions under the brand SCG GREEN POLYMER™ and is the first in Asia Pacific region that can provide HDPE material for biaxial oriented polyethylene (BOPE) film with rich HDPE resin that enhance the performance of existing BOPE film in market to create sustainable products to the world and a big part of our success is credited to Brückner, leader in biaxial oriented film manufacturing technologies. With Brückner’s machine, SCG Chemicals can convert our superior HDPE resin into BOPE film resulting in new offering of mono-material packaging with low haze and low thermal shrinkage.
Mr. Niwat Athiwattananont, CTO Polyolefins and Vinyl Business of SCG Chemicals, said, “For easy operating of printing process, lamination process, and packing process, SCG Chemicals uses SMXTM technology to rocket product performance to replace BOPET and BOPA (Nylon) films in order to change the structure in multi materials packaging to be full recyclable PE mono material packaging.”
Mr. Sebastian Ruhland, Senior Sales Manager of Brückner Maschinenbau, said, “SCG Chemicals resin for BOPE-HD film production has been successfully tested for biaxial stretching in the laboratory and pilot line scale at the Brückner technology center in Germany and we found out that the material provide ease of operation in process.”
